How TJobBank works!

Our Mission: "TJobBank is unlike any other employment site that has ever existed. In addition to being the first and only employment site specifically designed to bring inclusive employers together with transgender professionals, we are the first organization to TRULY validate a company's inclusiveness towards transgender candidates." -- Jillian Barfield - Owner/Creator/Director of Implementation

Employer Categories
Criteria
"Invited to Post Employment Opportunities"

Step 1:

Employers are invited to post jobs at TJobBank. After they are invited, their company name is added to our "Invited to Post Employment Opportunities" list.

"Inclusive Companies"

Step 2:

If the employer posts an open position on TJobBank their company name is added to a list called "Inclusive Companies."

"Truly Inclusive Companies - T-LGB Friendly!"

Step 3:

If a company hires a transgender candidate from a post on our site (or from anywhere) after it is verified with us by the hired candidate, the company is added to a list called "Truly Inclusive Companies - T-LGB Friendly!"

If any company can verify to us that they have hired a trans-person who was living in their perceived gender when they were hired, they can be added to the 'Truly Inclusive Companies - T-LGB Friendly!' list

The reason that we have decided to design our site in this manner is because there are lists online, most notably the Corporate Index made available by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) that lists purportedly trans-inclusive companies. On that list, there are employers who are known to have discriminated against transgender employees despite their 100% rating. No validation is done to find out if these companies have ever hired a transgender candidate. Therefore validity of the Corporate Index is highly questionable in our opinion.

At TJobBank that's not good enough.

If an employer is not on either the 'Inclusive Companies' list or the 'Truly Inclusive Companies - T-LGB Friendly!' list they have not been validated as Trans-Inclusive as far as we're concerned.

If a company is not on our 'Inclusive' or 'Truly Inclusive' list, it does NOT mean that they are not inclusive, however it does mean that even though they know about this resource and that it is offered as a free service, they have declined to consider a transgender candidate to work at their company.

They have made a choice.

It' s as simple as that.

Please wish us luck in this groundbreaking endeavor!

Thank you for visiting our site and whether you are a prospective employer or a prospective candidate, we wish you luck!

Please make the right choice and consider a transgender candidate for a position at your company!
