Full-time IGEN Print Operator-2nd shift

at Broadridge Financial Solutions in New York-Long Island

The successful 2nd shift candidate (2pm- 10:30 pm) will:
•Receive print requests from Lead IGEN Operator, Production Coordinator and Supervisor and print documents/jobs accordingly on cut-sheet and high-speed equipment.
•Work with shift supervisor, Production Coordinator, Lead IGEN Operator and Production Control Specialists to prioritize work requests and ensure that jobs are printed in priority order.
•Ensure that the quality of all work produced meets Digital Document Solutions(DDS)/client standards. Run proofs of each job to check quality before releasing the job to print. Also, continually monitor print quality by reviewing work as it is printed. Immediately bring any quality issues/problems to the attention of the shift supervisor.
•Monitor DDS file server folders to ensure that all incoming jobs are processed on a timely basis.
•Notify the DDS Production Specialist/Coordinator when each job is completed to ensure that the DDS Production Log is kept up to date.
•Maintain and demonstrate detailed knowledge of all job/equipment operating procedures.
•Train new operators (associates and temps) to operate designated DDS equipment. Provide feedback to trainees and management with respect to training progress.
•Maintain required operator logs to track daily production. Also, sign all print requests relating to jobs printed to ensure accountability and accurate production reporting.
•Inform management of printer/file problems. Contact appropriate vendors (Xerox/IBM, etc.) to report problems that require vendor intervention. Log all calls according to DDS procedures.
•Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required :

•Must be a Xerox certified IGEN Operator. Must have ability to perform color matching to pre-approved proofs. Must be able to perform various maintenance procedures (as defined by Xerox & IGEN training) on the IGEN printer to achieve optimal quality and efficiency. Including:

a.Change Photoreceptor
b.Change\Maintain Scorotrons,Pinscortron, and Distcorotrons
c.Change\Maintain Fuser Roller
d.Clean Etac and MOB censors
e.Change Developer
f.Adjust PSIP
g.Troubleshoot image\quality issues by performing\checking HFSI
•Good PC skills. Must demonstrate ability to effectively manipulate and route files to printers using various software packages.

c.Color Theory
d.Creo/ Fiery/ DocUSP
•Solid organizational skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
•Must be detail-oriented and able to review printed documents to ensure that they meet DDS and client quality standards.
•Must be a self-starter and demonstrate strong initiative.
•Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
•Must be flexible to work overtime, including weekends.
•Must be flexible to accept various assignments within the print room (e.g., running different jobs/equipment, learning to utilize new equipment, etc.).
•Must be able to lift 25 pounds and work in a standing position for long periods throughout each shift.
•High school graduate.
