Unix/AIX Administrator
at Broadridge Financial Solutions in New Jersey-Northern
• Architecting of server infrastructure in a multi-tier environment
• Perform troubleshooting, performance and capacity tuning
• Installation, maintenance, and tuning of UNIX hardware and software systems
• Prepares installs, and implement UNIX operating software and associated components
• Support of IBM pSeries, H Series blades
• Support of Dell PowerEdge
• Support of Operating systems including but not limited to AIX, Linux and Windows.
• Support of Sybase and related products
• Support of Oracle and related products
• Support of Apache, JBOSS, WebLogic, Zeus Web Server, Sonic MQ, WebSphere MQ, HornetQ, JMX monitoring tools
• Support of Veritas, NDM, TSM, NetIQ, UC4
• Support of Hudson, Blade Logic for deployment automation and system configuration
• Skills with ksh, perl, php, mysql, nmon, openssl
• Experience with EMC storage, especially SRDF technology, EVA, XP 9500
• 24x7 support of environment with high client impact hosting sites.
• Function as a "team lead" for up to 3 junior resources and/or India based resources, coordinating activities, communicating priorities and deadlines, and interfacing with US management and Project Management.
Qualifications Required :
• BS Degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent in education and/or experience.
• Excellent communications, organizational, and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to lead and able to work with multi-group projects
• Working knowledge of IBM AIX (5+ years) operating systems, and network technologies
• Overall knowledge of the hardware and software components of UNIX operating
• Understanding of shell scripting system
• SAAS/ISP/ASP hosting environment experiences
• Previous experience working with offshore teams desired but not required.
