Senior Java Programmer - HT
at Broadridge Financial Solutions in New York-Long Island
- Develops, tests, debugs and implements code for existing and/or new business applications and/or computer systems.
- Has experience with all phases of application development including unit and system integration testing.
- Has demonstrated knowledge in the software implementation lifecycle and specific programming languages.
- Responsible for all procedural and code documentation on assigned projects.
- May perform the role of Project Coordinator for projects with limited scope/duration (i.e. less than 12 months in duration).
- Provides On-Call/Off hour support where necessary.
Qualifications Required :
- BS in Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience.
- Advance knowledge of software design and design methodologies.
- Development Experience in Database technologies (SQL, JDBC, stored procedures, etc.)
- 6+ years experience within a programming and applications system environment, which includes the following:
Core Skills: Java J2EE, Servlet, JSP, EJB, JTA, JMS and experience in Web technologies such as XML, Struts, Javascript, AJAX, Web Services is a strong plus.
Languages: Java J2EE, SQL, PL/SQL, Java Script (and UNIX Shell Scripts is a plus).
RDMBS: Oracle 10g/11g, DB2, SQL Server
App. Servers: Websphere, Weblogic or JBoss
Tools & IDE: VSS, CVS/SVN, Perforce, TOAD, Eclipse/RAD, ANT, etc.
OS: Windows (all), UNIX/Linux Solaris, AIX flavors
